AIR CONDITION USAGE

All our properties provide Air condition units for your convenience. In respect to the nature and the environment please turn off the air condition once you are leaving the house. Thank you for your contribution.

TOILETS

As most of the houses have problems with water pressure, please do not throw toilet paper or any other cleaning tissues, etc in the toilets as the pipes can get blocked easily.

WASTE MANAGEMENT

Waste is a big problem also in the Mani. Due to a problematic water pipe system most of the houses do not have drinking water. Therefore a large number of bottled water are being used and recycling is a big concern. We at Mani Hospitality Service are helping to separate waste according to the local Waste Management System. We collect the following:

Glass Bottles (Blue containers)

Plastic bottle and plastic wrappings, cans (Green containers)

Residual Waste (Black or metal containers)

Garbage is collected in different locations throughout the area (next to the street) We will let you know where your next garbage disposal area is. You can help us if you separate your garbage already at your villa and use the coloured garbage bins outside your villa.

WATER

As the water collection system including the wells are still very problematic in the Mani most of the houses do not have drinking water. Please use the wells which are located throughout the villages next to the streets. We will show you your closest well.

ANIMALS

There are few wild animals in the area and again most of them are harmless. Nevertheless we want to draw you attention to some of them:

Ø Domiciled animals:

o Be careful while driving, there can be cattles, sheeps and goats on the streets, even on main roads!

o Wild dogs and cats can be still found in the area, although there are many private people and even organisations (MIAO – Mani International Animal Organisation) who look after them, feed and treat them. Still be careful when petting them as they can have parasites.

MIAO – Mani International Animal Organisation is a voluntary organisation, which is looking after abandoned cats and dogs in the area. miaomani@gmail.com
